Insulated trays are individually prepared and delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday, with the exception of major holidays. Each tray contains two complete, nutritious meals – one hot and one cold. Meals are provided by a local healthcare facility, and clients pay only $8 per tray. Milk, hot coffee, and bags of tea are included with each delivery, along with a slice of bread and butter. Sweet treats are also provided when available. Recipients have the option of receiving a meal every delivery day, or just a few days a week as needed.
Volunteers provide daily smiles and personal contact for those who may be homebound, with limited outside connections. Though intangible, this is a key service that helps support the mental and spiritual well-being of our recipients.
Meals on Wheels of Central Bucks County serves all of Central Bucks and New Hope-Solebury school districts, Dublin, Bedminster, Tinicum, and parts of Nockamixon.
If you or a family member or friend are in need of in-home delivery of nutritious meals, contact us or call (215) 345-6065.
